Leading parts retailer Truckline has announced its sponsorship of the Altona Truck & Trade Show, on Friday 1st March.

Not only is the Show a great opportunity for Melbourne’s transport and logistics community to get together, it’s also a valuable event for the local community, with proceeds from the food and beverage sales to go directly to the local Laverton Cricket Club and the Altona Football Club. This community connection is what drew Truckline to the event this year, according to Casey Stewart, Territory Sales Manager Vic/Tas.
“We have 22 branches Australia-wide and each of those stores is embedded locally. All our staff are locals who think local and that’s as true for our Brooklyn store as anywhere else,” said Casey, “It’s such a privilege to be part of a community and at Truckline we get the best of both worlds – we’re part of the great transport industry community and part of our local areas.”

Last year, with the support of the Hobsons Bay City Council, the show attracted over 40 trade stalls, 70 trucks and close to 5000 patrons for its first ever event raising more than $15,000 for the local clubs. This year the show organisers hope to grow the show event further.

Special guest include Outback Truckers Glenn “Yogi” Kendall and his wife Amanda Kendall and keeping with tradition there will be some baseball played under the lights, all in the name of fun on Saturday night.
