Trucking Australia 2013 booked out

ATAThe Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has closed registrations following extremely high demand from trucking operators across Australia. Trucking Australia 2013 will be held on Hamilton Island from Friday 21 to Saturday 22 June 2013.

ATA Chairman David Simon said Trucking Australia 2013 would play host to more trucking operators than any Australian Trucking Convention since 2006. “It’s been fantastic to have such a great response from our industry, and I look forward to seeing all our delegates on Hamilton Island in a few weeks,” Mr Simon said.

“Trucking Australia 2013 will feature open forums where delegates will develop industry action plans covering the carbon tax and road charges, safety, and getting more women and young people into the industry. “Every registered delegate has now received an email survey to make sure the forums concentrate on their key priorities.

“During the event, delegates will be able to contribute from the floor or by using our live Twitter feed to post their contributions straight onto the event displays.

“We’ve gone all out to make sure our delegates get every chance to have their say and make a difference to the industry’s future.”

As well as the open forums, Trucking Australia 2013 features a trucking business master class where delegates will work together to save ailing transport business Fictitious Transport. Canberra insiders Jannette Cotterell and Glenn Milne will also provide delegates with an insight into how to use lobbying and the media to get results from the industry’s plans.

Trucking Australia 2013 won’t be all work. The winners of the National Trucking Industry Awards will be announced at the ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Dinner on the Friday night, while delegates will have plenty of time to network at the famous Kenworth Legends Luncheon and a poolside barbecue hosted by BPW Transpec.

Delegates can still make alterations to their existing bookings by calling the ATA on (02) 6253 6900.
