As you may have seen on PowerTorque last week, the ARTSA Institute released the results of a study focusing on dynamic loads on trailer coupling, after identifying that current information was out of date.
In partnership with the ATA, TIC and HVIA, and funded by the NHVR and federal government’s HVSI program, it unveiled a number of key findings.
It tested dollies across a number of different trailer combinations, monitoring the force that is put on the trailer couplings across a number of scenarios.
