The Drake group supplies 16 Cometto MSPE Evo3 70tonne self-propelled modules | TRANSPORT NEWS

The internationally-renowned Cometto brand is celebrating the supply of 16 modules of its self-propelled MSPE Evo3 70tonnes capacity modules with a carrying capacity spread over 96 axles.

The Drake Group is the exclusive supplier of Cometto products in the Australian market and Sam Dake, the company’s marketing manager explained the self-propelled modules would be used to carry future generation surface ships and submarines.

“The six-axle MSPE 6/4/2,43 Evo3 70t is the best in the business,” said Sam. “The order from Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd includes 16 of these units in addition to two 368kW power packs, providing more than 6,000 tonnes of payload capacity and the future ability to reach a total capacity of 10,000t.”

“The MSPE Evo3 70t is highly configurable and can be used in a wide variety of applications, making it the perfect choice for their world-class project, added Sam.”

The Drake Group recently celebrated its 60th year in business as one of the country’s premier manufacturers of trailing equipment for heavy haulage and general freight operation,  suppliers and servicers. The Australian-owned company has long been the exclusive supplier and after-sales support provider of Cometto products.
