Special Super-Liner marks 40 years for Daracon

Daracon

NSW civil contractors Daracon Group is celebrating its 40th year in operation with the delivery of a new quad dog Mack Super-Liner.

Operating out of Beresfield, Sydney, the Hunter Valley and Gunnedah, Daracon offers a range of vertically integrated civil construction services including bulk and heavy haulage, quarrying, plant hire, concrete and contract crushing.

The new Mack was welcomed to the fleet by Daracon Group Executive Director David Minga in 2024, and has boosted the company’s heavy haulage capacity across New South Wales.

Transport operations manager Scott Brown says the delivery of the new truck is made all the more special by the small features that set it apart from the rest of the fleet.

“You’re lucky in a fleet as large as ours to have the chance to secure a special truck like this one,” Scott says. “Especially as we just celebrated our 40th year of operation.

“Brandon from Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia was able to present the keys to our founder and owner David, which was made even more special as the branding on the truck includes our limited edition 40-year logo.”

The truck was delivered by VCV Newcastle and is the latest addition to the fleet in what has been a productive and long-standing partnership between dealer and company.

“I’m proud to work in partnership with Daracon providing their transport solutions,” VCV Newcastle Sales Representative Brandon Hughes says.

“This truck is one of those deliveries you stand back and admire.

“This 600hp Super-Liner is perfect for the 20m truck and dog application and will do the job with ease.

“VCV Newcastle has a longstanding relationship with Daracon, and we look forward to continuing that into the future.”
