Ravaglioli Commercial Vehicle Wireless Mobile Column Lifts

Apprentice truck technicians have been invited to rise to the challenge of pitting their skills against the best in the land. Nominations are being invited to take part in the CVIAQ Apprentice Challenge, which will take place as part of the upcoming Brisbane Truck Show on May 14 to 17.

The competition is open to heavy vehicle mechanical apprentices employed and nominated by members of the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Queensland.

 

The 2015 CVIAQ Apprentice Challenge is a competition held to promote Heavy Vehicle Mechanical apprenticeships to people of all ages. It also aims to promote and foster a professional image of the heavy vehicle industry to the wider community.

 

The competition will be held at 1:00pm on each day of the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will stage the heats with Sunday being the final comprising of the two best apprentice teams.

 

The competition is a ‘hands on’ practical test where teams are required to rectify identical faults in two Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks within a defined time period of 45 minutes.

 

The winning team is the first on to successfully identify and repairs all faults, or the team which rectifies the most faults within the allowed time frame.

 

There are $4,000 in prizes to be won and nominations close on April 5.
