Possible buyout of Tyre 4U Network | TRANSPORT NEWS

Industry sources are claiming an announcement is imminent concerning the possible buyout of Tyres4U, the Australian-owned and operated organisation specialising in the import and distribution of tyres and tubes, by the National Tyre and Wheel Group (NTAW) owners of Exclusive Tyre Distributors, responsible for the distribution of Cooper Tyres, Mickey Thompson, Dick Cepek, Dynamic Wheel Co, Federal, Statewide Tyres and Mayhem Wheels.
Tyres4U holds exclusive and non-exclusive agencies for multiple tyre brands manufactured in many overseas countries. The company operates in every state of Australia and has 12 seperate branches strategically situated throughout Australia, with the head office located in North Sydney, New South Wales. Tyres4U also operates 3 branches in New Zealand.

An industry source stated that while discussions of a sale had been circulating in recent years, the private ownership of Tyres 4 U was looking to move out of the tyre distribution business in order to concentrate on other interests such as the property market.

NTAW and Tyres4U declined to comment when contacted by PowerTorque Magazine.
