New Protrans Disc Brake Pads from Bendix | TRANSPORT NEWS

New extreme Bendix Protrans Commercial Vehicle disc brake pads offer ECE R90 certification, premium friction materials, and titanium Bedding-n technology.

Heavy commercial vehicles travel on average 40,000 to 60,000 kilometres per year in Australia and with braking systems facing demanding and severe operation conditions. With the trend shifting to disc brakes the brake pads become the single biggest contributor in controlling the motion on vehicles.

The Bendix Protrans disc brake pads for commercial vehicles offer original equipment friction material with a friction rating of GF and full compliance to ECE R90 certification independently tested to ensure the braking performance, speed sensitivity, cold performance and frictional characteristics are within 15%+/- of the original equipment pads.

The Bendix Blue Titanium strip technology is built into Protrans to provide instant high friction and solid pedal feel, providing a rapid interaction rate between the friction surfaces for superior bedding-in as the Titanium stripe provides accelerated moulding around the points of contact, rapidly increasing contact areas as the pads mate to fit the rotor surface.

Each Protrans brake pads kit comes with quality hardware meeting OE specifications with the correct number of accessories for one complete axle set, saving time and money in the workshop. Meeting the industry requirement to replace wear sensors with each pad change, each set of brake pads now comes with electric wear sensors for a complete axle sets where applicable. This avoids premature failure caused by re-using old and damaged wear sensors.

Validated to meet OE specifications Bendix Protrans disc brake pads are available in a comprehensive range covering European, American, Asian and Australian commercial vehicle applications.
