NatRoad encourages businesses and individuals within the industry to nominate and put the spotlight on the dedicated and passionate people who keep the industry moving forward.
“Our industry is full of hard-working people going above and beyond and contribute to a better, safer road transport industry,” says NatRoad CEO Warren Clark.
“It’s important to make sure the outstanding people, particularly the operators, support staff and up-and-coming young people raising the bar in our industry are recognised for their work.”
Nominations are opened across three major categories:
Professional Driver of the Year Award – this award recognises a driver’s achievements and professionalism. It highlights exemplary safety performance, commitment to excellence, customer service, and efforts to promote the industry.
Excellence in Operational Support of the Year Award – this award honours an individual who has shown a strong commitment to the road transport industry and exceptional customer service. Their positive attitude, job enthusiasm, and leadership potential should reflect well on themselves, their employer, and the industry.
Sam Sali National Young Driver Award – this award, in honour of one of NatRoad’s founding fathers, Sam Sali, celebrates an inspirational young professional (30 years and under) in the road transport industry.
All award finalists will receive complimentary tickets and travel to attend NatRoad’s annual conference – NatRoad Connect 25 in Shepparton on 11 and 12 September 2025, including the industry gala dinner at the Museum of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE), where the awards will be presented. The award winners will receive a $500 cash voucher prize.
