For Australia’s towing operators, staying ahead is no longer just about new rigs; it’s about smarter systems that give back time and protect already tight margins.

Three towing businesses share why they switched to MyTrucking and how they streamlined everything from dispatch to invoicing.

From text chaos to tidy, trackable jobs

According to Pip Galvin of ITow Towing, Queensland, making the leap from old-school text messaging to a dedicated job management platform was transformational.

“I was sending text messages to my drivers to dispatch my jobs. Things would be missed, pricing would not be done, payments were not taken,” Pip says.

Pip’s story will resonate with anyone who’s spent long hours on the road, only to face mountains of paperwork back at the office. Her turning point came at a business seminar, where she recognised the need for a smarter way of working.

“I asked a few people what system they were using for dispatch and one person turned around and said, ‘MyTrucking—best decision I’ve ever made’,” says Pip.

ITow Towing offers professional vehicle towing along with accident, fire, and flood recovery services across Toowoomba. After making the switch, Pip found managing multiple jobs and invoices was simpler, error rates dropped, and her drivers got paid faster.

“MyTrucking has changed my life. It is so much easier to dispatch. I can keep a track of jobs. I can keep track of how much each truck is making. How much each driver is making, whether they’re doing it in a timely fashion. Documents don’t get missed,” she says.

Planning precision for relocations

A similar story plays out in Victoria, where Madison from Ascot Towing shares how they rely on MyTrucking to keep their operation running smoothly. They do machinery and equipment relocations, which require precise planning.

Ascot Towing handles a variety of loads, including shipping containers, agricultural equipment, palleted goods and general machinery like excavators, Bobcats and forklifts.

“Before we started using MyTrucking, managing all the different jobs felt chaotic,” Madison says.

“Now everything, from scheduling to invoicing is handled through MyTrucking, easing the load for both our drivers and the office team. Handling it all within one platform has made things much easier overall and ensures no double handling.”

Their complex towing offering benefits from an easy job management system, that allows real-time job allocation, digital proof of delivery, and automated admin.

Madison highlights how paperless systems free up time for drivers and dispatch staff.

Not only popular in Melbourne, MyTrucking is used by over 700 transport operators in NZ, Australia and the UK.

Better service, happier customers

Based in Launceston, Beecheys Towing provides towing and roadside assistance across Tasmania, including accident recovery, battery supply and machinery transport.

Operating 24/7, Adam from Beecheys shares why they rely on efficient systems that save time.

“With the volume of accident work and machinery moves we do, we needed a system that could keep up,” Adam says.

“MyTrucking gives us a clear picture of every job and truck in real time, and the driver app has cut right back on lost paperwork, three hours per day in invoicing and our drivers love it.”

Some MyTrucking operators report up to an 80 percent reduction in administrative workload, saving as much as 20 hours per week.

MyTrucking’s driver app adoption continues to rise, with more than 5,000 drivers now using the Driver App.

With drivers now capturing PODs and job completion directly via the mobile app, Beecheys has reduced lost forms and hours of paperwork for dispatchers.

Why towing operators choose MyTrucking

  • Centralised digital dispatch replaces messy paperwork and manual texts.
  • Real-time driver communications and digital PODs keep customers informed faster.
  • Integrations with leading accounting and communications platforms.
  • Flexible pricing lets operators pay only for vehicles in active use.
  • Customer portal for direct job entry lets clients book jobs, reducing admin and errors.

The final word on MyTrucking is summed up neatly by Pip Galvin of ITow Towing: “I can’t thank MyTrucking enough for what they have done for my business. We’re busier than ever.”
