It’s that time of year again and the team here would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas from Diesel News. It’s been an exciting year and looks like being another exciting one in 2020.
When it comes to thinking about trucks and Christmas, the Coca Cola adverts always come to mind. The Coke brand virtually owns this colour red and has continued to hit that button around the world every year since these adverts started to appear.

In Europe it’s often a struggle to get the right truck as conventionals aren’t very common, but Coca Cola have been consistent in maintaining the same image for Christmas in just about every country.
The Australian version of the ad, with a truck running across Sydney Harbour Bridge, first appeared about three years ago as the truck set off on a tour of regional Australia.
Christmas is always very special for the trucking industry, it’s the most stressful couple of months of the year and there is nothing we can do to change it. The pressure starts to build well out from the festive season, but everyone seems to want more things moved from A to B and can’t wait until after Christmas.
At least, we might get lucky and have a relatively relaxed January!
