Linfox signs new deal with Pacific National

Transport giant Linfox has entered into a new five-year deal with Asciano, owner of Pacific National Rail.

The agreement is for the ongoing use of Pacific National Rail to move Linfox freight and is expected to generate revenues of up to $400 million for Asciano over the next five years.

According to our sources, the contract provides for Pacific National’s intermodal division to supply rail haulage services to Linfox for the interstate movement of containers and specialty rail services.

Linfox’s existing agreement with Pacific National Rail expires at the end of this year, with the new contract to take effect from January 1, 2013, for a minimum of five years.

Linfox is one of Pacific National Rail’s largest customers.
