Iveco is celebrating 50 years in business with a series of events throughout 2025.
The milestone celebrates European vehicle manufacturers Fiat Veicoli Industrial (including Officine Meccaniche and Lancia Veicoli Special), Unic and Magirus-Deutz came together to form the company.
Since then, Iveco – an acronym for Industrial Vehicles Corporation – spans a dealer network of 3500 sales and service outlets supporting customers in over 150 countries.
Iveco entered the Australian market in 1992 after acquiring International Trucks and offers a range spanning from passenger car licence vans through to B-Double capable prime movers.
In addition to its roadgoing range, Iveco also operates in the off-road market through the sale of vehicles including its Eurocargo and T-Way models.
“Over the past 50 years, Iveco has thrived through collaboration and innovation,” President, Truck Business Unite, Iveco Group Luca Sra says.
“Our success is a testament to the collective effort of everyone who have been part of our journey – our employees, dealers, customers and partners.
“Together we have built a brand that is ready to face the challenges of the future. We have contributed to shaping the history of commercial mobility and we feel empowered by our legacy and the strong foundations we have built.”
As part of its 50-year celebrations, Iveco is set to hold a series of events throughout the year including a four-day celebration at its Turin, Italy headquarters under the theme ‘50xBeyond’.
T-Mark data from the Truck Industry Council shows Iveco sold a total of 50 trucks in Australia through January 2025, with 23 of those falling into the heavy-duty category range.
The data indicates it was a top ten truck overall seller in Australia in the opening month of 2025.
