Isuzu and Mercedes-Benz issue recalls

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for its Econic truck. The recall targets 11 vehicles.

If this occurs the front of the cylinder can drop on to the road resulting in a hazard to other road users.

The issue is the cab tilt cylinder lock nut may not have been correctly tensioned during manufacture.

This means in extreme cases the defect may allow the cab tilt pivot pin to disengage.

The vehicles affected were sold between February 1, 2013 – May 31 2013.

A letter has been sent to affected owners. For further information contact your nearest dealer.

Isuzu Australia has issued a recall for its F-Series Crew Cab Trucks with 6HK1 Engines.

A list of 1378 vehicles has been targeted in the recall.

The issue with these trucks is they may have an issue with the engine insulation sagging and contacting the high temperature side of the EGR cooler.

This may in extreme cases cause the insulator to burn.

A letter is being sent to affected customers. For further information, contact your local Isuzu dealer.
