The Hino National Skills Contest is heating up, with the truck manufacturer announcing the finalists ahead of the upcoming event in November.
Held on November 14, it will allow Hino’s technicians the opportunity to showcase their skills across three categories (parts, service and sales). The winners will each receive a cash prize and an all-expenses paid trip to Japan.
Coffs Harbour’s Jason Didio is the first finalist to make the trip to Sydney next month. Jason works as a sales consultant at Southside Truck Centre and will compete against rivals from around Australia in a competition attended by senior Hino representatives from Australia and Japan.
From Bendigo, Cliff Bourke will travel for the sales competition, while Bruce Grubb will be in the parts final.
Bruce works as a parts interpreter at Bendigo Truck Centre, while Cliff is a sales consultant and a first-time finalist.
The final list includes Graham Reynolds, a parts interpreter at Wagga Trucks, who will take part in the parts final.
