Simply put, the Brisbane Truck Show is the premier showcase of trucks, trailers and equipment in Australia. Importantly it is also “run by industry, for industry” and has been since 1968 by the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Q’ld – CVIAQ.
It is the place the industry celebrates everything that is trucking. From May 16-19 the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) will be transformed into Australia’s premier event for the transport industry and the 5th biggest transport equipment show in the world. The CVIAQ is urging attendees and exhibitors to get in early and secure accommodation because this year’s show will be massive.
The event has grown in prominence and professionalism whilst also retaining the grass roots feel ensuring everyone that attends feels comfortable and that they truly belong.
It is estimated that recent shows have generated sales orders of $AU400 million dollars during a typical four day show and also contributed $58 million in additional expenditure in the Queensland economy.
With over 260 exhibitors and around 35,000 attendees over four days it truly offers something for everyone.
Sure, the Brisbane Truck Show has lots of great new trucks and trailers that have the latest technology enhancing safety and reducing noxious emissions but the Brisbane Truck Show also has so much more.
It has everything from the latest electronics, materials handling and safety equipment to tooling and cleaning products to keep rigs looking good and workshops running at peak performance.
Everyone from fleet operators to owner drivers and the many industries servicing the road transport sector attends this event.
It is also a fabulous day out for families with children of all ages enthralled with the big beautiful trucks of all makes and models.
The Brisbane Truck Show has every piece of ancillary equipment you’d ever need and could ever imagine you’d need in one place as well as workshop and tooling equipment to help engineers, mechanics and the service side of the industry.
And, if you have ever been curious about a career in transport or have a passing interest in transport this Show is a definite eye opener with the “Industry Career Centre” and “CVIAQ Apprentice Challenge” showcasing the sheer depth of the industry and all the possible employment opportunities transport can offer you or one of your loved ones.
