Hamelex White became one of Australia’s first trailer manufacturers to offer pre-approved Performance Based Standards (PBS) vehicles after recognising the productivity gains it could pass on to its clientele in 2009. Since then it has gone on to become one of Australia’s foremost PBS trailer manufacturers, with a significant number of pre-approved combinations. For this reason it is no surprise that the company plans to exhibit one of its high-productivity vehicles at the Brisbane Truck Show – a 4 axle dog trailer.
The particular trailer on show is capable of carrying 34 tonnes on approved roads and is perfect for use in quarry applications. “PBS vehicles still have a great deal of untapped potential in this country,” said General Manager, Craig Wallace, ahead of the show.
“We have seen our customers experience some fantastic productivity gains and with our pre-approved equipment, it’s easier than ever to gain access to these advantages.”
“Pre-approval means there are none of the delays in assessment that are often associated with PBS equipment – operators can place an order knowing the completed vehicle meets PBS requirements, which is a real bonus.”
Also on display will be a 9.3m aluminium chassis tipper, designed for use with grain and other bulk products.
Craig says that the big news, however, is a recent distribution change for the brand in the Queensland market. According to Craig, the move is the result of a careful review of the brand’s distribution options.
“The real highlight of our display is that we can now bank on Trailer Sales as our exclusive representative in Queensland and Northern NSW,” he says.
“Trailer Sales is Queensland’s pre-eminent supplier of semi-trailers, parts and service, having been the Queensland distributor for the leading Freighter and Maxi-CUBE brands for many years. They had previously held the Hamelex White distribution rights in North Queensland only. Now, by awarding Trailer Sales the Brisbane distribution rights as well, customers have only one name to remember for sales and support throughout the entire region.”
“I believe that we have found the best possible solution for our clientele,” Craig continues.
“Experience has shown that Queensland customers will be best served by having one dedicated dealer acting as a true one-stop-shop in multiple locations, and that extra support is what we are showcasing in Brisbane.”
Hamelex White can be found on stand number 30 at the Brisbane Truck Show 2013. The show runs from the 16th to the 19th May, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
