It’s official, we are now heading in to a La Niña weather event and can expect plenty of rain for the next period of time, which means there’s going to be a lot of people getting trucks bogged.
Here is a selection of videos put together by Terry Sanders who trails around YouTube looking for and reviewing truck related clips that he finds.
Everyone has stories about getting bogged and the different tricks and techniques which work and plenty that don’t work so well.
Probably the best advice is to remain calm and take your time. Once you are bogged you aren’t going anywhere for some time, it’s best to take a good look at the situation and think through the best way to get unbogged. The trick is to get out in one piece.
The best thing we all can do is not get into these situations in the first place. It’s always best to walk out from the truck and have a good look at any suspect ground before you try to plough through there in a truck. It’s going to take a lot longer getting unbogged than it might take if you inspect the ground and get as much information as possible before committing.
We have to thank Terry Sanders for putting together this collection
