Fatigue forums

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is holding a series of industry information forums across Australia. These forums will provide information on the application process, benefits, safety improvements and productivity gains achievable under Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM).

These forums will also provide the opportunity for industry to engage with the NHVR and ask any questions you have in relation to AFM Accreditation.

Limited bookings for one-on-one consultations regarding AFM accreditation for any business will also be available following the forums. The first of these forums will be held in Victoria from February 19-21 2015 as follows:

  • 19 February 2015 Time: 2.00-6.00pm Venue: Warrnambool Racing Club, Grafton Road, Warrnambool VIC
  • 20 February 2015 Time: 2.00-5.00pm Venue: West Waters Hotel & Entertainment Complex, 10-20 Lake Street, Caroline Springs VIC
  • 21 February 2015 Time: 2.00-5.00pm Venue: Century Inn, 5 Airfield Road, Traralgon VIC

Further forums around the rest of the country are to be announced as they are arranged.

To make a booking for a one-on-one discussion please contact the NHVR’s Fatigue Advisor, Karen Bow, on 0408 566 351 or by emailing fatigue.management@nhvr.gov.au.

It is important for the industry to take advantage of these briefings to get issues or concerns about AFM addressed directly by the NHVR.

The NHVR is also running a survey on fatigue issues, asking heavy vehicle operators to provide feedback as the NHVR and the National Transport Commission develop a new heavy vehicle fatigue data framework. The survey can be filled out by clicking here.
