Fatigue concerns us all – A Special Report

Driving Habits of Car Drivers

The issues around fatigue, its measurement and regulation have been an ongoing bone of contention in the Australian trucking industry.

A series of studies into the topic have occurred and the last twenty years have seen reforms introduced, with some failures along the way.

There is a disconnect between the science of the fatigue experts and the needs of the transport industry. On one side drivers need much stricter limitations on hours worked and on the other road transport customers have long distance and time sensitive loads, which require a flexible approach to fatigue management.

The introduction of the fatigue management and reporting tools coupled with electronic work diary has offered some solutions and aided both industry understanding and regulatory compliance, but the divide on the topic prevails, as proposed law amendments are rejected or neglected.

PowerTorque will be taking the temperature of the debate in the September issue of the magazine and invite you to participate by showcasing your solutions and offers within this category.

Once published the report will be amplified across our digital and social platforms ensuring a readership of over 120,000 active industry participants.

Partner packages starting from $2,840 will provide a full page of coverage advert and content.

Opportunities close 22nd July 2024.
