The Scania NG G Series electric trucks have received ADR approval, meaning they have been about to become available for sale in Australia.

Three variants have received ADR approval:
Variant 1: NG G 6×2 BEV Single front axle, 2 tyres – Tandem rear axles, 4 tyres each
Variant 2: NG G 6×2*4 BEV Single front axle, 2 tyres – Tandem rear axles, one with 2 tyres, the other 4
Variant 3: NG G 6×4 BEV Single front axle, 2 tyres – Tandem rear axles, 4 tyres each
These G Series trucks have a 624kWh lithium ion prismatic battery, which has been reported to have an expected range of approximately 350km on a single charge.
The battery can be charged the majority of the way in as quick as 90 minutes, thanks to DC fast charging speeds reaching 375kW.
Comparatively to other electric trucks available on the Australian market, the Scania G Series BEVs would be significantly larger, with a GVM of 31 tonnes and a GCM of 64 tonnes.
