The Golden Highway is closed in both directions between Dunedoo and Barbigal Road (Ballimore) due to a multiple vehicle crash.
The following diversions are in place:
- Westbound from Dunedoo: Castlereagh Highway to Gilgandra, Newell Highway to Dubbo.
- Eastbound from Ballimore: Muronbung Road, Saxa Road, Gollan Road to Goolma, Goolma Road to Gulgong, and Castlereagh Highway to Dunedoo.
Diversions, according to Transport for NSW, add approximately 66 kilometres and 44 minutes additional travel time. Also, it is unclear when the road will reopen, however ongoing police investigations are expected to take some time.
