Designers Use Ingenuity and PBS Smarts

This video shows the kind of improvements in productivity possible when vehicle designers use ingenuity and PBS smarts to develop on road solutions which take an operation to a whole new level.

Operating out of Bunbury, Western Australia, this 32-metre Road Train has improved safety systems allowing it to perform and behave on the road better than a conventional 27.5-metre Pocket Road Train.

Quality design and ultra-light tare weights allow this unit to deliver cost savings to the mining sector while reducing heavy vehicle road traffic, lessening the impact of transportation on the state’s roads.

This combination was developed by Bruce Rock Engineering using performance based standards to achieve a substantial increase in payload.

MGM Group has a workforce of 400 employees with a core fleet of 160 Kenworth trucks and more than 550 trailer configurations providing service solutions for a number of customers throughout WA.

All MGM trucks come from the factory with the “MGM Safety Package”, a suite of active safety features designed to help support safe driving and help protect our operators and other road users.

These drive assistance technologies aim to recognise and help avoid specific hazards and collisions, giving the operator and other road users peace of mind wherever their journey takes them.

Mario Giacci and his family started a small business specialising in transport and logistics in the 1950’s.

From small beginnings in Bunbury WA, this family business grew into a national Australian wide business called Giacci Bros.

In 2004, Mario Giacci also founded MGM Group, with his daughter Giuditta (Giudi) and son Michael. MGM Group initially established itself as a leading supplier of reconstituted blocks, concrete and premium quarry materials. Over the next decade MGM Group expanded its operations, equipment and resources to become a large established business in its own right.

After the sale of Giacci Bros to a public listed company in 2014, MGM added a bulk division to the Group, known as MGM Bulk.

MGM Bulk has experienced significant growth over the last few years providing bulk haulage and material handling services to a wide range of mining clients all over WA.
