David Simon has been appointed to the Board of the Heavy Vehicle Charging and Investment Reform

ATA Chairman and QTA Ltd Board Director David Simon has been appointed to the Heavy Vehicle Charging and Investment (HVCI) Reform Board as one of three industry representatives.

The appointments, which also include Andrew Ethell from the Australian Logistics Council and Luke Fraser from Juturna Consulting, follow a Standing Council on Transport and Infrastructure (SCOTI) decision to include industry representatives on the board.

HVCI Project Director Meena Naidu has welcomed the new Board members.

“These three senior industry representatives bring to the Board a wealth of expert transport and freight industry knowledge and share a range of transport operations and supply chain perspectives,” Meena said.

“With the depth of talent and industry experience now on the HVCI Board, I am confident that we can deliver a reform shaped by industry. A reform that addresses the needs of the road freight transport sector, including those in rural and remote areas.”

The HVCI Board is overseeing the development of an integrated package of charging, funding and investment reforms for consideration by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG).
