Daracon marks 40 years with new Superliner

Superliner

New South Wales-based civil contractors Daracon Group are celebrating 40 years in business with the delivery of a new Mack Superliner to their fleet.

Being run as a quad dog, it was added to the fleet at the end of last year by Daracon Group’s Executive Director, David Mingay to help add more haulage capabilities across the Hunter, Sydney, and Regional NSW.

“You’re lucky in a fleet as large as ours to have the chance to secure a special truck like this one, especially as we just celebrated our 40th year of operation,” says Daracon Group Transport Operations Manager Scott Brown.

“Brandon from Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia was able to present the keys to our Founder and Owner David, which was made even more special as the branding on the truck includes our limited edition 40 year logo.”

The truck was delivered by VCV Newcastle, which has established a significant working relationship with Daracon.

“I’m proud to work in partnership with Daracon providing their transport solutions,” says Brandon Hughes, VCV Newcastle sales representative.

“This truck is one of those deliveries that you stand back and admire. This 600hp Superliner is perfect for the 20m truck and dog application and will do the job with ease.

“VCV Newcastle have a long-standing relationship with Daracon and we look forward to continuing that into the future for many years to come.”

The truck will help to deliver a number of major projects for Daracon across quarrying, bulk and heavy haulage, concrete, contract crushing and plant hire jobs.
