Priced from $215,000, EarthCruiser is based on the highly capable Fuso Canter 4×4 powered by a 4.9 litre intercooled turbo diesel dispensing 117 kW of power and 471 Nm of torque. A five-speed manual ‘box and two-speed transfer case feed torque to a limited slip rear differential and a front axle that can be optioned with a locking diff for ultimate traction.
Suspension is tuned for a compliant ride over the roughest terrain, ably assisted by military spec 36 inch Michelin XZL tyres, while the rear protection bar incorporates a 3500 kg rated tow bar.
The interior features moulded cabinets and bench tops with no sharp edges along with large windows with retractable blinds. A full size shower, flushing toilet and double bed complete the picture. Solar panelling keeps batteries charged when stationary, supporting the unique diesel powered water heating, air conditioning, room heater and ceramic cooktop.
